Privacy Policy

Cosmos Client is an app for connecting to a VPN server with a profile. It does not collect your data, does not store it with us, and does not share it with anyone. Everything you add to the app stays on your device.

Data we collect

None. Cosmos Client has no sign-up or accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no activity logs. The app does not send data to our servers and does not connect to them — except for pages of our website that you open yourself, such as this policy.

Data stored on your device

For the app to work, the following is stored on your device:

• profiles — links to your server and their names;
• configurations received from those links, and expiry and traffic details if the server provides them;
• service details — name, logo and links, if the server provides them;
• app settings;
• the log — only if you turn on Keep log yourself; it keeps entries from the last 15 minutes and does not leave the device unless you copy it.

This data is not shared with us or with third parties.

Who the app connects to

Only the server in your profile. The app requests the configuration and service details from it, and when connected, routes your device’s traffic through it in an encrypted tunnel. The server sees your IP address and the versions of the app, operating system and core (in the User-Agent header).

You choose and add the server. How data is handled on it is determined by its owner — you, or the service that gave you the profile; please review their policy. We have no relation to that server and receive no data from it.

Links to the website, the app store and links from the service details open in your browser or the corresponding app.

Permissions

• VPN — to route your device’s traffic through your server.
• Camera — only to scan a profile’s QR code; the image is not saved or sent anywhere.
• Clipboard — read only when you open Add profile or tap Paste, to insert a link; its contents are not sent anywhere.

We do not sell or share data

We do not sell, use or disclose any user data to third parties — for any purpose.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept on your device until you delete it:

• delete a profile — in the Profiles tab, in the profile’s details, Delete profile;
• erase everything — in the Cosmos tab, Reset client: profiles, configurations, service details, the log and settings are deleted, and VPN turns off;
• delete the app — its data is deleted with it.

We do not hold your data, so there is nothing to delete on our side. You can withdraw consent by deleting the data or the app.
