Cosmos Client is free and the same on every device: the same interface, profiles and settings. Get it on the Download page.

Platform Where Requirements
iPhone and iPad App Store iOS 15 or later
Android Google Play —
Mac App Store macOS 13 or later
Windows .exe installer Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
Linux deb, rpm, pacman packages x86_64

iPhone, iPad and Mac

Install from the App Store — the link is on the Download page. On first connection, the system will ask to allow adding a VPN configuration — allow it, you can’t connect without it.

The widget and Shortcuts work on iOS 17 or later.

Updates come through the App Store. To remove the app, delete it as usual — profiles and settings are deleted with it.

Android

Install from Google Play — the link is on the Download page.

Windows

Download the cosmos-client-windows-x64-setup.exe installer from the Download page and run it — administrator rights are required. It installs the app to Program Files\Cosmos Client and the cosmos-client-daemon service that keeps the connection up: VPN keeps working even when the window is closed.

To update, run the installer of the new version — it installs over the old one. To remove: Settings → Apps → Cosmos Client → Uninstall; the service is removed with the app.

Linux

For x86_64: Ubuntu 20.04 or later, Debian 11 or later, Fedora, RHEL / Rocky / Alma 9 or later, openSUSE Tumbleweed, Arch. Download the package for your distribution from the Download page and install it — the same command works for the first install and for updates:

sudo apt install ./cosmos-client-linux-amd64.deb # Debian, Ubuntu
sudo dnf install ./cosmos-client-linux-x86_64.rpm # Fedora, RHEL
sudo zypper install --allow-unsigned-rpm ./cosmos-client-linux-x86_64.rpm # openSUSE
sudo pacman -U ./cosmos-client-linux-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst # Arch

The package installs the app — a “Cosmos Client” shortcut appears in the app menu — and the cosmos-client-daemon service that keeps the connection up. In GNOME, the tray icon is shown through the AppIndicator extension: it is enabled in Ubuntu; in Fedora and Arch you may need to install it.

To remove:

sudo apt remove cosmos-client # Debian, Ubuntu
sudo dnf remove cosmos-client # Fedora, RHEL
sudo zypper remove cosmos-client # openSUSE
sudo pacman -R cosmos-client # Arch

Add a profile — without one there is nothing to connect to.
